Charles Lutz Obituary, 92

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 15 at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Woodstock for Charles B. Lutz, 92, who died May 2 at Genesis Elder Care in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Burial will be held in the Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph, Vermont at a later date.
Charles was born on Feb. 1, 1923 in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, son of Oscar and Daisy Lutz.
Charles served in the U.S. Army during World War II before acquiring a masters degree in Education from Temple University. He worked for 15 years for G.E. conducting military space research. After leaving G.E. Charles spent 20 years as the apprentice coordinator for the State of New Jersey. He retired in 1985 and in 1987 he and his wife Ruth (who he married Aug. 23, 1952) moved to Barnard. In 2005 Charles and Ruth moved to Woodstock Terrace, Ruth passed away in 2012.
While retired in Vermont Charles volunteered as a councilor at the Windsor Prison, was an active member of the Woodstock First Congregational Church serving as an Elder and Deacon, volunteered for Gideon’s International, and enjoyed gardening and caning chairs.
Charles is survived by two nephews, Ted and Frederick Housel, five grandnieces, two grandnephews, and many good friends.
In addition to his wife he was predeceased by his sister Emma.

Angela Sampson Obituary, 50

CROYDON, New Hampshire — Friends and relatives may call at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan Street, Claremont, New Hampshire, on Saturday, May 16 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family for Angela Marie Sampson, 50, who died May 8 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire following a period of failing health. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in West Claremont.
She was born in Windsor on July 21, 1964, daughter of David A. “Joe” and Patricia (Marsh) Sclafani and had been a lifetime area resident.
Angela managed her father’s business, Joe Sclafani’s Warehouse for many years.
On July 7, 1990 she married Richard Sampson in Croydon.
She enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales. Recently, she and her son, Logan, enjoyed spending time hiking and mountain biking.
Members of her family include her husband, Richard Sampson, Croydon; a son, Logan Sampson, Croydon; her mother, Patricia Sclafani, Claremont, New Hampshire; her paternal grandmother, Emma Robinson, Reading; a brother, Anthony Michael “Tony” Sclafani, Ft. Helen, Florida; a sister, Annette Marie Ouellette and her husband, Gerald, Claremont; two nieces, two nephews and two grandnieces.
She was predeceased by her father, David Anthony “Joe” Sclafani, who died on May 17, 2013.

Phyllis French Obituary, 89

LEBANON, New Hampshire — Memorial services will be held at a later date for Phyllis P. French, 89, a resident of Harvest Hill in Lebanon and formerly of Windsor, who passed away May 10 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. Committal services will be held in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor.
She was born Dec. 4, 1925, in Randolph, daughter of Charles B. and Lilah (McCarthy) Prescott.
She received her schooling in Randolph and graduated from Randolph High School in 1943. She graduated from the University of Vermont in 1947 earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. French taught briefly in the Barre, Montpelier area, before moving to Windsor in 1948, where she was employed as an elementary school teacher by the Windsor School District at State Street School for 40 years until her retirement.
Phyllis loved to play golf and was a longtime member of the John P. Larkin Country Club in Windsor. She enjoyed sewing and was an excellent seamstress. She especially loved teaching and caring for children. She also enjoyed conversing with her many friends, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She moved to Harvest Hill in Lebanon in 2009, where she enjoyed meeting new people and actively participated in many activities.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia M. Milowsky and her husband, Marc of Hartland and Kathleen A. French-Wilson and her husband, Curtis Wilson of De Pere, Wisconsin; six grandchildren, Megan, Molly, Morgan, Madison, Emily and Seth; seven great-grandchildren; her twin sister, Patricia Russin of Millerton, New York; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; one brother, Charles B. Prescott, Jr.; two sisters, Joyce Prescott and Janet Brown; and an infant daughter, Mary Ann French in 1949.

Gerald Russell, Obituary, 72

Russell,-Gerald-PhotoASCUTNEY — A funeral service was held May 18 at Knight Funeral Home for Gerald L. “Jerry” Russell, 72, a longtime resident of Ascutney, who passed away May 12 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Rev. William Sheldon officiated. Committal services followed in the Ascutneyville Cemetery in Ascutney.
He was born Aug. 31, 1942 in Montpelier, son of Herbert and Evelyn (Verney) Russell.
He attended grade school in Flagstaff, Ariziona and Weathersfield. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1960.
He married Prudence Stillson in Ascutney on June 23, 1962.
Mr. Russell went on to become an accomplished Journeyman Electrician and was employed by Hamblet Electric in Keene, New Hampshire for over 20 years until his retirement.
He enjoyed fishing, listening to bag pipes, family barbeques and playing horseshoes. He was fond of his cat, “Angel” and his granddog, “Daisy.”
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Prudence S. Russell of Ascutney; two sons, Michael J. Russell and his wife, Susan of Ascutney, and Jay H. Russell and his wife, Tina of Auburn, Maine; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Zachary, Grace, Abby, Elly, and Cullen Russell and Julie Russell-Emond; three great-grandchildren, Landon Decouteau, Adrianna Ried and Zander Emond; two brothers, William Russell of Castro Valley, California and Donald Russell of Parma, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and cousins, including, Janice Cook of Bedford, New Hampshire and Shirley Chevalier of Colchester.
He was predeceased by his parents; an infant daughter Julie Russell in 1966; and one brother, Kenneth Russell.

Daniel Atwood Sr., Obituary, 73

There will be no public services for Daniel O. Atwood, Sr., 73, who died May 15 at his home in Woodstock following a long illness and surrounded by family.
Dan was born on March 24, 1942 in Hanover, New Hampshire, son of Lloyd H. and Pauline (Bassett) Atwood.
Dan graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 1960.
He served in the U.S. Army and then returned to Woodstock to begin a 40 plus year career as a carpenter. He worked many of those 40 plus years for A.W. Frizzell Co. and later for Hank Savelberg.
Dan enjoyed hunting, camping, snowmobiling and was enthusiastic about guns and cars.
He is survived by his wife Diane Pulling Atwood; his children; Dan Jr. and Dale Atwood, Amy Palmer, Connie Sprague, Gail Havill, and Tom Havill; and 12 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister Carol McGrail.

Carl “Sandy” Perkins III, Obituary

BERNARDSTON, Massachusetts — While vacationing with his wife in a beautiful place, a good, kind, and caring man died unexpectedly of a heart attack on May 11 in the south of France. His wife, Mary Beth Whiton, and two sons, Dustin and Jason Perkins, were by his side at the end. His extended family invites friends and colleagues to join them in a celebration of Sandy’s life on Friday, May 22 at the Greenfield Country Club, in Greenfield Massachusetts. A light and informal service will begin at 2:00 p.m., with a social time to follow.
A dedicated physician, musician, family member, father and friend, Sandy was born on March 11, 1948 in Cambridge, Massachusetts son of the late Carl Wakefield Perkins, Jr. and Ruth Jean Gibson Perkins.
He received his public school education in Norwich, Conn., then went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Clark University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from St. Louis University. He was Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and was a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the Massachusetts Academy of Family Practice.
After practicing medicine for nearly 38 years in Vermont and Massachusetts, Sandy formerly retired in 2014. While residing in Hartland he practiced medicine for over 10 years at White River Family Practice. During his time there, he cared for countless families and facilitated the births of many Upper Valley children. He also held various positions on the staffs of the Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital and the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. While living in the Upper Valley, he enjoyed playing music with his band; “Just Friends,” at the Hartland Variety Show and other venues, coaching baseball and basketball, and watching his children grow up in the wonderful community of Hartland.
After leaving the Upper Valley, he served as Director of Health Services at Northfield Mount Hermon School, in Northfield, Massachusetts for 22 years. He also served as the School Physician in the Pioneer Valley Regional School District, was a part time Emergency Room Physician and the Doctor for the Franklin County House of Correction.
He loved to travel, enjoyed the outdoors, and was passionate about causes that advocated for the rights of others and protection of the environment. Sandy was also well known and respected for his singing voice and guitar skills, and somewhat less for his skiing ability and prowess on the golf course, but he took on these and other avocational challenges with enthusiasm, humility, and a wonderful sense of humor.
Sandy leaves behind a large and extended family, consisting of his wife, a stepmother, two sons and their mother (Katharine Perkins of Hartland), their spouses, an adopted son, two stepchildren, nine grandchildren, two brothers and their families, and numerous cousins. He loved and cherished them all, and always made time to attend family events. Most importantly, he treasured the time that he spent playing and singing with his grandkids.

WINDSOR — A Mass of Christian Burial was held May 15 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Rockville, Connecticut for Alexander H. Krajewski, 69, who passed away unexpectedly at home on May 9 from surgical complications. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery.
Alex was born in Rockville, Connecticut on Jan. 27, 1946, son of Herman and Louise Dreher Krajewski.
He grew up in Rockville, graduated from Marianapolis Preparatory School in Thompson, Connecticut, and earned a Bachelor Degree in Finance from Boston College and attended Graduate School at the University of Tennessee.
Alex will be passionately missed by his companion, Joanne Pollio; his son and daughter-in-law Jay and Elizabeth Krajewski of Coventry, Connecticut; and his brother and sister-in-law Hugh and Suzanne Krajewski of China, Maine. Alex will also be dearly missed by Joanne’s children, Mark Pollio and Christine Cooney and their families and his nephews Aaron, Levi, Sam and their families. Alex leaves many beloved friends and his former wife, Marcia Krajewski.
Alex was predeceased by his younger son, Daniel Krajewski.
Alex had a very outgoing personality and a successful career in office furniture sales – both of which gained him a great number of caring friends throughout New England.
Alex loved to ski, bask in the sun and generally spend time outdoors. He loved his adopted state of Vermont and enjoyed learning about its history and getting to know local residents. Most of all, Alex treasured time spent with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the World Wildlife Fund or charity of choice.

William Hart Jr. Obituary, 90

HANOVER, New Hampshire — A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Church of Newport for William Hart, Jr. who died May 16 at Wheelock Terrace in Hanover. He was 90 and had been in declining health in recent years.
He was born on July 11, 1924 in Leominster, Massachusetts, the youngest of five children of William and Katherine (Lilley) Hart.
He grew up in Leominster and his family spent summers at Long Beach in Rockport, Massachusetts, which fostered a life-long love of the seashore.
He graduated from Leominster High School in 1942 and started at Dartmouth College. World War II interrupted his college career and he joined the Navy V12 training program at Dartmouth. He received his commission in 1945 and served as a Naval officer in the Pacific on the U.S.S. DuPage, an attack transport. After the war, he returned to Dartmouth and graduated in 1949 with a degree in mathematics. He married Ursula Anglim of Fitchburg, Massachusetts in 1949 and they lived in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, Port Chester, New York and Wyckoff, New Jersey over the next 20 years.
Bill worked as an industrial engineer for Cluett Peabody and A.O. Smith. In 1961 he joined Southwestern Engineering Company (SWECO) as a sales engineer. Because of his gregarious nature and love of people, he was a very successful salesman and manager, and became the Eastern Regional Manager.
After the death of his first wife in 1969, he married Mavis Perry Buchanan in 1971 and they settled in Merrimack, New Hampshire He retired in 1989 and they moved to Coventry where they spent many happy years in a house they built with a beautiful view of Lake Memphremagog. During his retirement Bill was active in the Newport Rotary, the Northeast Kingdom Mental Health Service and the United Church of Newport.
Both wives and his four sisters predeceased him. He is survived by his four children: daughter, Susan and husband, Gregory Schwarz of Lebanon, New Hampshire, daughter, Sara and husband, Robert Demers of Merrimack, New Hampshire, son, William Hart III of Manchester, New Hampshire, and son, Craig and wife, Heather Hart of Weymouth, Massachusetts. There are eight Hart grandchildren. He is also survived by his three stepchildren; stepson Norman and wife Ruth Buchanan of Pomfret; stepson, William and wife, Sharon Buchanan of Deerfield, New Hampshire, and stepson, Paul and wife, Martha Buchanan of Weare, New Hampshire. There are seven step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Bill spent the last six years of his life at Wheelock Terrace and his family would like to thank the staff there for the excellent care they gave him. He maintained his friendly and engaging personality to the end of his life.

Homer Welch Obituary, 97

HARTLAND — A memorial service will be held at the Taftsville Chapel on Saturday, May 30 at 11 a.m. for Homer Allen Welch, 97, who died May 23, at Cedar Hill Health Care in Windsor.
Homer was born on April 22, 1918 in Burns, Wyoming, son of Homer James Augustus and Katherine Ethel (Rhodes) Welch.
Homer served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He returned back to Vermont and worked a few years at a turkey farm in Brandon and then worked 40 plus years at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Windsor. Although Homer settled in Hartland for many years he also lived in Santa Rosa, California and Las Vegas, Neveda for short spans of time.
Homer was a “jack of all trades” who enjoyed both gardening and reading.
He is survived by his three children; Philip Emery Welch of Milton, Peggy Welch Walker of Newbury, New Hampshire, Richard Homer Welch of Billings, Montana; four grandchildren; Tracy Walker Jordan of Wilmot, New Hampshire, Tabitha Walker of Newbury, New Hampshire, Christina Walker of New London, New Hampshire, Philip Emery Welch, JR of Burlington; three great-grandchildren; Dawson Walker Curry of Newbury, New Hampshire, Isabelle Katherine Jordan of Wilmot, New Hampshire, and Adeline Raven Jordan of Wilmot, New Hampshire.
He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Katherine Temple Welch; as well as seven brothers and sisters.

BRIDGEWATER — There will be no services for Donna Sue Sanderson, 58, who died May 18 at the Rutland Regional Medical Center following a battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease.) Our family would like to thank Rutland Regional Medical Center for their hospitality and services.
She was born on Nov. 10, 1956 in Ft. Ticonderoga, New York, daughter of Harry “Sonny” Sanderson Jr. and Teresa Mae (Phillips) Oldenburg.
Ms Sanderson has been a resident of Bridgewater since 1965. She was employed by the Rockefeller Resorts from 1978 to the present. She enjoyed the time she spent in Jackson Hole, Wyoming working for the company. The fishing was great, which is something she loved to do, she also enjoyed hunting, watching the sci-fiction Channel and her two birds Precious and Mr. Magoo.
Survivors include two sons Lester Sanderson of Bridgewater and Gabriel Sanderson of North Haverhill, New Hampshire; a sister Robin Ennis of Bridgewater who helped to care for her; three brothers Sean Sanderson of California, Bruce Oldenburg of Bridgewater and Mark Oldenburg of Rutland; her step-father Robert Oldenburg of Bridgewater; two grandsons Joseph Sanderson of Woodstock and Dillon Sanderson of Bridgewater; and several Sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers William Sanderson and Raymond Sanderson; and a granddaughter Alexandria Jade Sanderson.

Cynthia Cole Obituary, 87

STUART, Florida, formerly of East Wallingford — Cynthia “Elaine” Cole, 87, died on April 27 after a brief illness.
Cynthia was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Allen Cole.
Elaine had four children: Allen Cole and Richard Cole of Stuart, Florida; a daughter, Donna Maguire at the Villages in Florida; and Randy Cole of Wallingford; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Up until the past few years, Elaine was an avid golfer and was one of Woodstock’s Keagan Bradley’s biggest fans.
Elaine loved to paint, both in watercolor and acrylic, and painted portraits of all her family members, plus landscapes of local Vermont scenes. While living in Florida, she led many arts and crafts activities and was active in her retirement community.
Elaine had a deep, quiet faith and believed in a better world after her life was over.
In her later years “Grandma Cole” took particular pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Every time she spoke with them she’d always end the conversation with an “I love you.”
This was true until the very last days of her life. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew & loved her.

Cynthia Brennan Obituary, 80

WINDSOR — There will be no formal services for Cynthia M. Brennan, 80, a resident of New York City, and formerly of Windsor, who passed away May 21, at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, New York per her request. Committal services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in St. Johnsbury.
She was born Sept. 11, 1934 in Windsor. She received her schooling in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School in 1956.
She was employed at various businesses including Macy’s Department Store in New York City until moving to Bermuda where she worked as a marketing retailer. She returned to New York in 1962, where she was employed by Pinkerton Detective Agency and did accounting for a nanny service. Cynthia most recently was employed by the City of New York Department of Corrections until her retirement in 2007.
She was an avid reader and was fond of animals and her pets, especially her dog “Pip.” She also enjoyed vacationing on the coast of Maine.
Survivors include; one half-brother, Daniel J. Mead and his wife, Janet of Hartland; and two cousins, Harold Conley, Jr. and his wife of Oxnard, California and James Conley of Pasadena, California.
She was predeceased by her mother and stepfather, Evelyn and Seth Mead.
The family wishes to acknowledge and thank Vilma and Bonnie of New York City for their friendship and kindness towards Cynthia. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Ronald Jackson Obituary

Services will be held privately by the family for Ronald A. Jackson, who died May 26 at his home in Woodstock.
He was born on July 10, 1931 in Wayne, Michigan, son of Walter and Helen (Darling) Jackson.
Ronald served in the U.S. Army in Korea, thereafter he founded “Tradewinds International Inc.” traveling world-wide until his retirement.
He was President of the Massachusetts Association for Children with Learning Disabilities.
Ronald had an intuitive sense for art and design and was on the original design team of the 1953 Corvette sports car. He had lived in Westfield, Massachusetts and Haddam, Connecticut until retiring to Woodstock.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte Danly Jackson, also of Woodstock, his three children: Kirk and wife Mary Jackson of Westbrook, Connecticut, Seth and his wife Elaine Jackson of Higganum, Connecticut and daughter Melanie Jones and husband Nicholas of Raleigh North Carolina.
Ronald was predeceased by his first wife Shelia Eriksson Jackson; a brother Robert; and a sister Marilyn.
He had three step-children: Bruce Danly and wife Jennifer of Potomac, Maryland, Alison Danly Lazear and husband Dennis of Molino, Florida and Matthew Danly of Pensacola, Florida. In addition Ronald had seven grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Friday, June 5 at 11 a.m. in the Brownsville Cemetery in West Windsor for Lorraine G. Hull, 87, a longtime resident of Windsor, who passed away June 1 at the Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor surrounded by her family. Rev. William Sheldon will officiate. A reception for family and friends will follow at the Brownsville Community Church.
She was born March 19, 1928 in South Royalton, daughter of Loren C. and Winona (McGuire) Greene. Following the death of her father, at the age of two, she went to live with her grandparents, Matthew and Belle McGuire, on their farm in South Royalton.
She received her schooling in South Royalton and graduated from South Royalton High School in 1946.
She married Maurice L. Hull in Vergennes on Nov. 11, 1948.
Lorraine worked for a few years for New England Telephone, and later in life was employed at State Street School, Mt. Ascutney Ski Area and at the Windsor Chronicle for several years.
She was active in Windsor County Partners and volunteered with the American Red Cross Blood Mobile for 15 years. She also was a past member of the Windsor Lions Club and the American Legion Post #25 Auxiliary.
Mrs. Hull was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. She and her husband enjoyed attending Windsor Athletics and were named Fans of the Year. They were also proud sponsors of the Hull’s Electric Softball Team for many years. She also loved to dance, play cards and attend family gatherings. She took great pleasure in having been an extra in the movie “Funny Farm”.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Hull, Shannon Harrington and Shelley Seward and her husband, Glenn, all of Brownsville; three sons, Kerry Hull of Keene, New Hampshire, Scott Hull and his wife, Karen of Weathersfield and Kelly Hull and his wife, Sally of Strafford; eight grandchildren, Michelle Distefano, Darby Boudro, Brendan Harrington, Daniel Harrington, Colton Hull, Ben Bauer, Jeremy Bauer and Emma Bauer; four great-grandchildren, Logan Boudro, Jonathan Davie, Olivia Distefano and Kylie Hull; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hull passed away on April 15, 2010. She was also predeceased by her parents.

Kenneth Spaulding Obituary, 90

WEATHERSFIELD — A funeral service was held on June 3 at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor for Kenneth Spaulding, 90, who died May 27 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Burial with military honors will be held Friday, June 5, at 10 a.m. in the Ascutneyville Cemetery in Ascutney.
He was born Jan. 25, 1925, in Ludlow, son of Ervin and Laura (Hoadley) Spaulding.
Kenneth grew up in Ludlow and attended the local school. He went on to serve in the Army during WWII upon his return he went to work at Jewel Brook Woolen Mill where he met the love of his life Ina May Stevens.
They were married on March 2, 1945. They lived in Proctorsville for a time later moving to Brattleboro, where he worked for Peoples Bus Lines, Holden Martin Lumber Company, and as a farmhand.
They moved to Weston, where he worked at the Weston Priory. They moved to Chester and Kenneth went to work for the State of Vermont Highway Department he took a transfer and they moved to Reading. Kenneth left the State Highway Department for a time to work for the Town of Windsor Water Department. Later returned to the State Highway Department to finish his career.
Kenneth was an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved to go Square Dancing on Saturday nights with his wife. But what he loved most was spending time with his family.
He is survived by two sons, Robert Spaulding and his wife, Margaret of Ascutney and Ronald Spaulding and his wife, Debbie of Hartford; two daughters, Christine Packard and her life partner, Gerry of Norwich and Sheila Woodward and her husband, George “Woody” of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ina; a brother, Charles E. Spaulding; and two sisters Doris Morris and Dorothy Crosby.

RUTLAND — There will be no calling hours or service for James A. Girard Sr., 65, who died May 29, at Rutland Regional Medical Center after a brief illness per his request.
He was born Nov. 4, 1949, in Springfield, Massachusetts, son of Robert Sr. and Irene Girard of Westfield, Massachusetts.
Mr. Girard attended St. Mary’s High School in Westfield and Providence College in Rhode Island.
Jim married Marlene Bigelow on Aug. 25, 1973, in Westfield, Massachusetts.
For many years, he worked for the Friendly’s Corp. as district manager, traveling to several states managing various stores, starting from the bottom and working his way up in the company.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene Bigelow of Rutland Town; two daughters Michelle Bradley of Ghent, New York, and Cynthia Girard of Rutland; one son, Jamie Girard of Quechee; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Girard Jr.; and his parents.
He enjoyed working, watching baseball and listening to country music.
Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to the epilepsy association or to a charity of one’s choice.

BRIDGEWATER CORNERS — There was a celebration of life at Bridgewater Grange on June 6 for Robert C. Teeter, 74, who died April 13 at his home with his wife by his side.
Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Robert was born May 8, 1940, in Norwich, son of Walter and Alma Teeter.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia; one son, Robert Jr.; two daughters Carlene Cornell and Debbie Robinson; five sisters; one brother; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers; one sister; and one son.

SHARON/SOUTH ROYALTON — Services were held June 7 at the Boardway and Cilley Funeral Home in Chelsea for Mary Jane Regione, 66, who died June 3 at the Hanover Terrace in Hanover, New Hampshire.
She was born April 20, 1949 in Randolph, daughter of Arthur B. and Louise M. (Boles) Churchill.
She attended school in South Royalton.
In addition to raising her family, she worked at G.W. Plastics in Bethel for many years and at the Marion Cross School in Norwich.
Mary Jane enjoyed fishing and feeding the chickens and birds. She loved animals and as a young girl would ride horses at grandmother’s farm.
She is survived by her husband, James Regione of Rutland; two daughters, Brenda Emond and her husband, Travis of West Lebanon, New Hampshire and Wendy Merrihew and her husband, Mark of Orange, New Hampshire; six grandchildren, Brandon, Nikita, Chyna, Ryan, Mason and Amber; two brothers, Arthur B. “Tim” Churchill Jr. and Scott Churchill; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Louise Churchill and a brother, Clarence J. Churchill.

WEATHERSFIELD — A celebration of life was held June 6 for Jean E. Tremblay, 74, who passed away unexpectedly May 31 at her home in Weathersfield. Committal services will be held at the convenience of her family in the Mt. View Cemetery in Claremont.
She was born Sept. 25, 1940, in Rutland, daughter of Robert and Mariam (Steere) Barber.
She was raised in Charlestown and received her schooling in Claremont. She graduated from Stevens High School in 1958.
She married Thomas Verboncoeur, and they had four children. He passed away in 1968. Jean married Jacques R. Tremblay in Windsor on Aug. 25, 1973.
She was employed at the former Hamel’s IGA in Windsor for several years and later at the former P & C Supermarket also in Windsor. She was a member of the Windsor American Legion Post #25 Auxiliary.
She enjoyed baking, playing cards, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She loved dogs, especially black Labradors. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Jacques Tremblay of Weathersfield; one son, William Verboncoeur of Windsor; three daughters, Donna Mayo and her husband, John of Windsor, Brenda Gould of Hartland and Tammy Conley and her husband, Dennis of Brownsville; three grandchildren, Malori White, Hunter Mayo and Reid Mayo; one great-grandson, William Jefferson; several nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by her parents; and two sisters, Beverly Royce and Margie Patrick.

Derek Heidelmeier Obituary, 53

RANDOLPH — A memorial service will be held at Days Funeral home in Randolph at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 14 for Derek W. Heidelmeier, 53, who passed away unexpectedly on June 1 due to complications from a recent surgery.
Derek was born in Englewood, New Jersey on July 29, 1961, son of Judith Gale and the late George Heidelmeier.
He graduated from Woodstock Union High School and attended Vermont Technical College. A lifelong learner, he achieved CPIM certification in May 2015.
Derek built a successful career in manufacturing and supply chain management at NJM Packaging, Applied Research Associates, Concepts NREC, and most recently, Northern Power Systems of Barre.
Derek was a loving and devoted husband, son, father, brother and friend. His genuine thoughtfulness and humor brightened the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. He loved animals, the island of St John, and could fix anything mechanical, but bass fishing was his most favorite hobby.
His wife Karen, mother Judith, son Neil, step-sons Konnor and Ryan, and brothers Ken and Gregg survive Derek.
