Harry Buss Obituary, 94

A memorial service and internment will be scheduled this summer in Rochester, New York at the Arndt Funeral Home for Harry W. Buss, 94, who died peacefully on Dec. 11.
He was born May 24, 1922 in Rochester, New York, son of the late Clarence and Helen Buss. He was married to Margaret Taylor Buss for 64 years who preceded him in death in 2013. He was a long-time resident of Rochester, New York, but lived at Merten’s House in Woodstock for the last few years of his life.
He attended Rochester Institute of Technology and graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Rochester, Gas and Electric for 40 years, retired in 1982 as superintendent of Electrical Distribution.
Harry and Margie enjoyed traveling in their motorhome to visit family and friends throughout the US during retirement. They resided winters in Yuma, Arizona for 18 years where he was an active volunteer in the retirement community. He was a generous man and always enjoyed helping others. As a hobby, he loved projects, which reflected his art as a true craftsman, always tinkering, building, and repairing items. He enjoyed talking to people and he loved life!
He was a World War II veteran. He was also an active volunteer fire fighter with the Barnard Fire Department for 10 years. He was a member of the Barnard Marching Band and also known for playing “Barney”, the firehouse clown in parades and other fundraising events throughout those years.
He is survived by his children: Kathryn Buss Erspamer (Rex) of Yuma, Arizona, Alan Richard Buss (Mary) of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Judith Buss Dixon (Patrick) of Post Mills; many grandchildren; and great grandchildren; and one sister Nancy Buss Shott (James) of Hilton, Nor York.

PERKINSVILLE — A memorial service was held on Dec. 21 for Eleanor B. Spencer 91, who passed away at her home on Dec. 15. Reverend Lucile Grambling officiated. Burial will be in the Grout Cemetery in Perkinsville in the spring.
She was born Jan. 4, 1925 in Barnard, daughter of Roy H. II and Hazel (Badger) Barnes.
She attended schools in Woodstock, graduating from Woodstock High School.
On June 21, 1951 she married Leslie O. Spencer in North Pomfret. He predeceased her on April 23, 1990.
She worked as a Telephone Operator in Woodstock, a secretary, a cook for the hot lunch program at the Perkinsville School, and as a seamstress from her home in Perkinsville for many years.
Eleanor enjoyed nature, walking and caring for her flower gardens.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Bladyka and her husband Paul J. of Springfield and Mary Jane Tetreault of Perkinsville; two grandsons, Tyler Bladyka and his wife Jennifer and Jesse Bladyka and his wife Michelle; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; one daughter Victoria; one son-in-law Jeffrey Tetreault; three brothers, Charles Barnes and his wife Cecilia, Wesley Barnes, and Roy H. Barnes III; and by one sister Hazel Barnes Dana.

Everett ‘Sandy’ Towne, Jr. Obituary, 68

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock for Everett E. “Sandy” Towne, Jr., who died Dec. 24 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
Sandy was born on Jan. 7 1948, son of Norma (Desmond) and Everett E. Towne, Sr.
A Woodstock native, Sandy graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 1966 and lived in his family home right up to the time of his death.
Immediately out of high school He joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969 with the 101st Airborne. When returning home from the military he went to work at Rupert Leonard’s Plumbing and Heating. He then worked for 20 years for Ottuaquechee Plumbing and Heating. Just before his retirement at age 62 he worked for the Woodstock Inn and Resort.
Sandy was an avid hunter and fisherman and a craftsman. He loved sharing his passion of these things with his children. Sandy was a very private person and had a great love for country and family in his own quiet way.
He leaves behind his wife Cindy of 37 years; a son Everett, III “T.J.” of Windsor and his wife Lynn and their two children Nicole and Ryan; son Robert “Bob” of Hartland his wife Amanda and their three boys, Kobe, Zane, and Dakota; and a daughter Leeanne of Waterville, Maine

Velma Wright Obituary, 92

RANDOLPH — Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 7 at Bethany United Church of Christ in Randolph for Velma B. Wright, 92, who died Dec. 26 at Menig Extended Care Facility in Randolph Center. Rev. Kimberly McKerley will officiate. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in the Spring at the Hartland Village Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 4, 1924 in Hanover, New Hampshire, daughter of Paul L. and Esther (Miles) Morrison.
She was raised in North Hartland and graduated from Hartford High School.
Velma was married to Freeman Wright on Feb. 24, 1945 in North Hartland, and had lived in Danville, Passumpsic, and Lyndonville before moving to Randolph in 2008.
Velma had worked for the S and H Green Stamps Store in White River Junction then Purina in St. Johnsbury. She and her husband wintered in Florida for many years. She served on the North Hartland school board, and was a member of the Eastern Star. Active in church life, Velma had been a member of Hartland UCC Church, Danville UCC Church, Lyndonville Methodist Church, and Bethany Church in Randolph. She had volunteered for the Randolph Food Bank, and enjoyed the outdoors and gardening.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Needham and husband Warren of Bethel; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband in 2002; and one son John Alan Wright.

Perry Hodgdon Obituary, 79

RANDOLPH — Memorial services will be held Dec. 30 at 11 a.m. at Bethany United Church of Christ in Randolph for Perry W. Hodgdonm 79, of Randolph, who died Dec. 21, at his home. Rev. Kimberly McKerle will officiate. There are no calling hours.
He was born Jan. 4, 1937 in Greenfield, Massachusetts, son of Ferrand and Grace (Perry) Hodgdon, and moved to Vermont when he was five days old.
After graduating from Vermont School of Agriculture in Randolph Center in 1955, he went to work for Tom Whittier and Bill Whitney fitting and showing cattle for sale at auction. He also auctioneered with his grandfather, D. A. Perry.
He was married to Carol Bagley in Hardwick on June 19, 1964, and they bought the Cliff Sanders farm north of Randolph in 1968. Perry was a dairy farmer and a Vermont Dairy Herd Improvement Association milk tester for Orange County and the Cabot-Calais region, and served on their board. He was a director for Region 9 of Agri-Mark, and sat on their board. Perry received the Wallace Award from the Vermont Farm Bureau in 2007 for outstanding contributions to Vermont agriculture. He was a member of the Jersey Cattle Club, East Bethel Church, and Bethany Church. Perry served in the Vermont National Guard and enjoyed teaching children and teachers about maple sugaring. He also enjoyed comparing past and present ways of life, and travelling which included a trip to the Bahamas and Panama.
Survivors include his wife Carol of Randolph; two daughters, Carolyn Keyes and husband, Robert of Braintree, and Kathryn Perron and husband, Duane of South Royalton; one son, Perry Hodgdon II of Randolph; two brothers, David Hodgdon and wife Carla of Bethel and Arthur Hodgdon and wife, Dee of Katy, Texas; three grandchildren, Deanna Hodgdon, Dan Hodgdon, and Tyler Garrant; four great-grandchildren, Jace, Zane, Colton, and Andrew.
He was predeceased by his parents; one daughter Robyn Elaine; and one sister Joyce Post.

Joan Holson Obituary

NORWALK, Connecticut — Services were held at Collins Funeral Home on Dec. 20 for Joan Holson who passed away peacefully Dec. 17 at Waveny Care Center. Burial followed in Willowbrook Cemetery, 395 Main Street, Westport.
She was the beloved wife of Sheldon Holson for 61 years, devoted mother of Robin Heit, Scott and Todd Holson and loving mother-in-law of Stephen Heit and Karen Holson. She was the adoring and proud grandmother of Laura Holson, Elizabeth Holson, Allie Herman, Alexandra Holson, Jason Herman, Andrew Holson, Miranda Holson, and Regina Heit.
Joan led a very active life. She loved skiing and staying at her vacation home in South Woodstock, singing, entertaining, golf and tennis, but most of all she loved her family. Joan always had a smile on her face that lit up the room.
The family wishes to thank Waveny Village and Care Center for their wonderful love and care. Donations can be made in her memory to Waveny.org.

BRIDGEWATER CORNERS — Memorial services were held on Dec. 28 at the Bethany Mennonite Church in Bridgewater Corners for Doris Billings Earle, 77, who died Dec. 21 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Burial will take place in the Topliff Cemetery.
Doris was born on June 14, 1939 in Poultney, daughter of Gilbert E. and Anna (Sears) Billings.
Doris worked for her family at Ruth’s Lunch in Ludlow, Vermont and later at the Cole Farm in Woodstock. She then spent 43 years delivering mail in Plymouth and Bridgewater Corners with her late husband Carroll, retiring March 31, 2013.
Doris was a long time supporter of the Bethany Mennonite Church in Bridgewater Corners and well known throughout the community as someone who loved to dance, cook, and spend time with both family and friends.
She is survived by her five children; Linda Scott – Andrews and her husband Rodney Andrews, Debora and James Oldenburg Jr., Tammi Earle and her partner Robert Berg, Edwin P. and his wife Tammy Earle, and Carolsue and her husband William Hannabury; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her brother Robert F. Billings and his wife Shirley.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Carroll F. Earle; a grandson Mark G. Earle; and 10 siblings; Louise Jones, Ruth Dubey, Alex Billings, Gilbert C. Billings, Raymond Billings, Edgar Billings, Betty Ragucci, Norma Linihar, and Phyllis Kennett.

Funeral services will be held graveside at the Pine Grove Cemetery in North Pembroke on Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. for Carol M. Sullivan, daughter of Frederick and Vivian Coes and long-time resident of Pembroke, Massachusetts, who died peacefully on Dec. 21 in the comfort of her home. A reception will follow.
Carol leaves behind her cherished companion of 19 years, Philip Drosdik; and her three beloved sons: David and his spouse Gary DiBlasio of South Woodstock, Peter, his spouse Lynda and their children Jared, Jeffrey and Lindsay of Duxbury, Massachusetts, and Andrew, his spouse Jaime and their children Drew, Lucy and Emmy of Pembroke. She is also survived by her two nephews Brian Stripp of Chelmsford, Massachusetts and Douglas Stripp of Epping, New Hampshire.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Edward Sullivan; and a sister, Vivian Arlene (Coes) Stripp.
Carol, known as “Coco” to her many friends and relatives, was an avid painter in watercolors, winning numerous awards in the many juried art exhibits she entered on the South Shore. She will be remembered as having an insatiable curiosity about nature and the sciences, a strong eye for design, style and balance, a passion for philanthropy and a restless fascination with landscape and the dynamic of moving water, which inspired many of her paintings. She had a very sharp wit and loved to laugh, maintaining a positive attitude throughout her full and precious life.

Ronald Atkinson Doan III, born Dec. 1, 1953 in Trenton, New Jersey, son of Constance Allmaras Doan and Ronald Atkinson Doan, Jr.
He celebrated his 63rd birthday on Dec. 1 and passed away on Dec. 18, 2016 at Mt Ascutney Hospital.
Longtime Woodstock resident, Ron graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 1971.
Ron’s favorite time of year was the summer, when he could work on his property and have picnic and bonfires with his friends and family. He also had many cats over the years and adored them.
He is survived by his longtime companion Kathie Lawrence; his mother, Constance Fitzcharles of Woodstock; two sisters, Constance Searl of Franklin, New Hampshire and Jocelyn Holford of Oakland, California; two brothers Jim Fitzcharles of Naples, Florida and John Fitzcharles of Sciota, Pennsylvania; two step-brothers Kevin Fitzcharles of Cairo, Egypt and Andrew Fitzcharles of Los Gatos, California; and two stepsisters Uma Fitzcharles of India and Leslie Cadaver of Columbia. Ron also had many longtime friends, most notably Jim Langhans who spent much time with Ron particularly in the end and Arden Carpenter who looked after Ron’s house while he was in the hospital.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses who cared for Ron at Dartmouth Hitchcock and the hospice team at Mt. Ascutney Hospital.
Ron will be remembered and cherished forever by his family and close friends.

NORTH CLARENDON – Funeral services were held Jan. 2 in the First Baptist Church for Mae V. Derby, 70, who died Dec. 26 at her home. Rev. Jon Stratton, pastor, officiated.
Entombment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, with burial there at a later date.
She was born April 10, 1946, in Rutland, daughter of Reginald and Myrta Birdie (Stone) Pitts.
Mrs. Derby graduated from Rutland High School and was a caregiver for many in the Rutland area for years.
She loved her family, especially being with her grandchildren, enjoyed reading the Bible and making cross-stitch items.
Survivors include her mother of North Clarendon; nine children, Stella Alexander, of West Rutland, Kathy Alexander, of Rutland, Helen Hewitt, of Charlestown, New Hampshire, Gordon Alexander, of Rutland, Nancy Majka, of Shrewsbury, Peter Alexander, of Bridgewater, David Alexander, of Rutland, Wanda Johnson, of North Clarendon, and Andrew Derby, of Rutland; a brother, Ronald Pitts; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Earl Derby Sr.; a son, Earl Derby Jr.; and a brother, William Pitts.

GROTON — A graveside service will be held in the spring for Betty Ann Davis Rowell, 76, mother, sister, and friend who passed away at Cottage Hospital on Dec. 28.
She was born on Aug. 10 1940 in Randolph, daughter of Elwin and Violet Davis of Royalton.
She married John Rowell on Oct. 5, 1963 in Groton.
Betty attended Royalton Schools and South Royalton High School. She worked for Tunbridge Tables in Tunbridge for five years, was a homemaker and was self-employed for Vermont Lumber Specialities.
She is survived by four children, John (Jack) Rowell of Braintree, Janet and husband, Marcos Miller of Randolph, Julia and husband, Scott Crippen of Grimesland, North Carolina and Jeneil and husband, Scott McAllister of Woodsville, New Hampshire; three siblings, Ann Eastman of Groton, Eugene (Joe) Davis of Royalton and Alice (Neil) Lamson of Pomfret; five grandchildren, Bethany Silloway, Alan Foote, Amanda Lloyd, Bryanna Foote, and Christopher McAllister; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Betty was predeceased by her parents; and her husband.
Betty loved gardening, genealogy, and her family. She will be remembered for her kindness and grace. She worked as a volunteer at the Groton Senior Meals for a number of years.

SPRINGFIELD – Memorial services were held Jan. 3, at Calvary Baptist Church in Springfield for Donna L. Aldrich, 78, who died Dec. 26 at her home. Rev. Malcolm Fowler, pastor, officiated.
She was born Aug. 13, 1938, in Springfield, daughter of Gerald and Thelma (Cady) Vittum.
She graduated from Springfield High School.
Mrs. Aldrich was employed as a para-educator at Chester-Andover Elementary School for many years. She also owned and operated her own bakery for several years. She enjoyed camping.
Survivors include two sons Marty Aldrich, of Springfield, and Rick Aldrich, of Ascutney; four siblings Jerry and Larry Vittum, of Reading, Dick Vittum, of Springfield, Judy Henning, of Chester; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

SOUTH POMFRET – Services will be held at the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 156 Winter Street, Haverhill, Massachusetts on Saturday, Jan. 7 at noon for Anthe or Athina Tsouknakis, 43, who passed away peacefully on Jan. 1, 2017 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. Burial will in the Linwood Cemetery and a reception will follow.
Athina leaves behind her husband of 20 years Alex Tsouknakis; two sons Eleas, Iosif; one daughter Alexandra; mother Kleanthe’ Daskalakis; three brothers, Misael, Manousos and Ioanni; one sister Georgia Loukogiorgakis, all from Rethimno, Crete Greece; grandmother Goergia Manousogiorgakis; uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and god children.
She was predeceased by her father, Iosif Daskalakis.
Athina led an active life, lived for her family and friends. She knew how to laugh, love, and forgive. She loved to travel to Crete where her family and friends longed for her. She would always plan a special church service for the well being of her friends and family in a church that her great-grandfather built 150 years ago.

Thomas Stanley, Jr. Obituary, 72

WILDER — At his request, a private family gathering will be held at a later date for Thomas Stanley who died on Jan. 8, 2017 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center after a long illness.
Tom was born in Albany, New York on Feb. 11, 1944 son of Thomas J. Stanley, Sr. and Margaret (Anderson) Stanley.
He graduated from Columbia High School in East Greenbush, New York and continued his education at Hudson Valley Community College. Following college, Tom hitchhiked across the country to work in northern Alaska for several years.
Tom loved books and reading. He worked at Encore! Books in West Lebanon for many years, and, with his wife, was a member of the Vermont Antiquarian Booksellers Association. He was also a long-time director and librarian of the Bertrand Russell Society.
Tom is survived by his wife, Kathleen “Kitty” (Neary), whom he married in 1971; their daughter Gwen Rachel Stanley of Woodstock; and her daughters Margaret and Beatrix; one brother, Robert Stanley and his wife Sue Ann; three sisters Alona Rickert and her husband Stephen, Kathleen Walker and her husband Thomas, Donna Borsuk and her husband Edward; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a younger brother, Richard.

R. Austin Wood Obituary, 93

BARRE, formerly of South Royalton and Montpelier — Per his request there will be no calling hours or services for R. Austin Wood who passed away on Jan. 4. Burial will be at the convenience of the family, with a service at that time in Pleasant View Cemetery in Randolph.
He was born on Jan. 25, 1923, in Randolph, son of Walter and Annie MacDonald Wood.
He graduated from Randolph High School in 1941. He was one of the original Galloping Ghosts of 1940. He attended Vermont Junior College, now Union College of Montpelier, and Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts.
He married Alberta Wooster of Randolph Center his high school sweet- heart in 1944.
While in the service, Austin played professional basketball for the City of Pittsburgh. After he got out of the service, he got an offer from the Philadelphia Phillies to play baseball for them. He turned it down because of his family. He then went to barber school in Hartford, Connecticut and was a barber for 20 years – four years in Randolph and 16 in South Royalton. He also worked in the U.S. Post Office in South Royalton. After that he was a coach and Athletic Director at Vermont Technical College for 20 years. He coached basketball, baseball and Soccer. He retired in 1983 and then drove parttime for Stagecoach in Randolph for four years
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in South Royalton and the American Legion Post 9 in Randolph.
He is survived by his wife, Alberta of Barre; and his children, Diane Cleary of East Calais, Joe Michaud, his son-in-law, and Donald and his wife Cynthia of Randolph; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents; he was predeceased by one son, David of South Royalton; a daughter, Donna Michaud of Barre; his son-in-law, Robert Cleary and granddaughter Kelly Cleary of Calais; two sisters, Doris Bell of Williston and Coralyn Osha of Randolph; and five brothers, Leyland of Randolph, Stanley of Randolph, Ivan of Plainville, Connecticut, Lindell of South Royalton and Hazen of Essex Jct.

Michael Sands Obituary, 48

WALDOBORO, Maine — A celebration of life will be held on Jan. 14 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Lenzi’s 810 Merrimack Ave Dracut, Massachusetts for Michael J. Sands, who died tragically in an auto accident on Jan. 6. Michael lived life fully and loved his family deeply.
Michael was educated in Dracut public schools and was a graduate of Dracut High School. He began his career at MA/Com in Burlington where he was a stock and shipping manager. He met his wife Cindy there. In 1996, Mike, Cindy, and their son Michael relocated to a long held family property in Woodstock. When Michael wasn’t performing in his position as General Manager of F.H. Gillingham’s, he could be found remodeling his lovely old house – once the 2-room schoolhouse for the Woodstock area or fostering his love of nature wandering the hills surrounding his home.
Mike and Cindy recently relocated to their family farm in Maine to follow their dreams of living on the ocean, farming, and opening a general store. He helped found Almost Edible Soaps, a family run company that hand crafts soap and body products. In his spare time, he worked on rebuilding the family home and barns, walking the woods and fields with his favorite dog Sheba, watching the family herd of Dwarf Nigerian Goats frolic, and smiling as the horses raced up and down the farm pastures. Mike cherished time spent outdoors and loved hunting.
He is survived by his wife Cindy Straghan Sands; one son Michael Daigle Jr. and wife Brandy Pelkey of Sharon; mother Danielle Keans Sands of Haverhill; father Paul Sands and his wife MaryJo of Hamstead, New Hampshire; two sisters Nicole Constabile and her fiancé David Pereira of Haverhill, Massachusetts and Stefanie Gagne and her fiancé Bryan Sparks of Nashua, New Hampshire; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition, he is survived by loving in-laws, and a host of life-long friends.
Michael was a dedicated husband and best friend to Cindy, loving father, caring son, best brother, favorite uncle, and great friend; he will be greatly missed.

Roy Pierson Obituary, 85

TYSON — A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 13 at the Tyson Congregational Church, 39 Dublin Road, Ludlow for Roy M. Pierson, 85, who died Jan. 9 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in White River Jct., following a period of failing health. Rev. Margo Marrone, pastor, will officiate. Committal services will be held in the spring in the Plymouth Notch Cemetery.
He was born in Springfield, on Dec. 10, 1931 and had been a lifetime area resident.
Roy was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War. He had been employed as a Quality Control Technician by Precision Valley Communications in Springfield.
On July 4, 1964 he married the former Julia Massey. They had been married for 52 years.
Roy was an avid reader. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and bird watching. He served as a volunteer librarian at the Tyson Library as well as a member of the Tyson’s Volunteer Fire Department.
Members of his family include two sons, Scott Pierson and his wife, Tammy, Vernon, Connecticut; Michael Pierson, Tyson; a daughter, Shiela Pierson-Roy and her husband, Jon, Strafford, New Hampshire; four grandchildren, Benjamin Roy, Timothy Roy, Britney Pierson-Thomas, Caitlin Pierson, four great-great-grandchildren, Reagan E. Roy, Calvin B. Roy, Turner B. Roy and James E. Thomas, IV.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the VA Patient Activity Fund, 215 N. Main Street, White River Jct., VT 05009 or the American Lung Association, VT Chapter, 372 Hurricane Lane, Williston, VT 05495.

Anna Forest Obituary, 79

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. on May 13 at the Hartford Cemetery in White River Junction for Anna L. Forest, 79, who died Dec. 31 at Birchwood Terrace Health and Rehab in Burlington. SallyAnn Silfies, Pastor of the Greater Hartford United Church of Christ will officiate.
Anna was born Aug. 20, 1937 in Pomfret, daughter of Arthur and Susan (Boyd) Longley.
She graduated from Woodstock High School class of 1955.
Anna was later married to W. Raymond Gray on Feb. 2, 1963 in Lebanon, New Hampshire where they lived for 14 years when they moved to Hartford Village. After Raymond’s death in 1991 Anna went to work for Mascoma Savings Bank and in 1993 she was married to her childhood sweetheart Robert Forest and they moved to his farm in White River Junction, where they lived until Robert died in 2013.
Anna enjoyed gardening both flower and vegetable, going strawberry picking and horse pulls with Bob. But her greatest joy came from spending time with family especially her grandchildren.
Anna is survived by three sons Terry Gray of Bradford, Greg Grey of White River Junction, and Tony Vincent of Haverhill, Massachsetts; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; a step-daughter Marylin Williams of St. Johnsbury, two step-sons Gary Gray of St. Petersburg, Florida and Douglas Gray of Gainesville, Florida; three brothers Howell Longley of Acworth, New Hampshire, Layton Longley of Mendon, and Raymond Longley of Pomfret; five sisters, Beatrice Robinson of Woodstock, Neola Clay of Rutland, Loretta Earl of Bridgewater, Fostina Barrett of Windsor, and Bonnie Drop of Massachusetts.
She was predeceased by a brother Sam Longley; a sister Mary Tardie; and a step-son Edmund Gray.
